GIS Training

InVision has developed custom training ranging from entry level GIS editing to ArcSDE administration.  All training is developed based on specific customer needs.  Our customized training begins with understanding the user’s ability. We develop detailed training guides specific to user’s business processes and train users on topics that can be put to immediate use.  Typically, our training is done in stages.  This allows users to become comfortable with certain concepts before moving on to more difficult concepts.  Our training is paced to make effective use of training time while ensuring that trainees understand the material.

We have successfully taught engineers, locators, supervisors, and water, wastewater and electric crews to effectively use GIS and work order management systems.  Most trainees have become proficient using GIS for their business needs, and GIS has become an integral part of their day.
